The University of Primorska, Faculty of Education (UP PEF) offers first-, second-, and third-cycle study programs, through which it educates future teachers, professionals in the field of education and upbringing, and artists. Graduates of all study programs acquire pedagogical as well as other skills during their studies, making them employable in many areas beyond the education sector.

Prometheus of Science Awards for Excellence in Communication in 2025 also at the UP PEF
On Monday, June 29, 2026, the Slovenian Science Foundation (SZF) presented the Prometheus of Science Awards for exemplary philanthropy and excellence in communication at a ceremonial academy held in the hall of the National Council of the Republic of Slovenia.

New Study Programme in Speech and Language Therapy and Surdopedagogy at UP PEF
A new five-year study programme in Speech and Language Therapy and Surdopedagogy will be offered at UP PEF for the first time in the 2026/2027 academic year. The programme was accredited by the Slovenian Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (NAKVIS) at its session on 20 November 2025.
