For students
International student mobility is becoming one of the most common forms of international cooperation in higher education. It enables the transfer of knowledge, experience and ideas, as well as networking.
The Faculty encourages mobility within the framework of existing programmes (Erasmus+, CEEPUS, etc.) within the framework of bilateral agreements at different levels (national, university, faculty) and, where possible, outside existing schemes, on the basis of individual discussions.
Erasmus experiences of our Namibian students
Gaudentia Hansen and Schmeline Kooper, final-year students of the Preschool Education programme at the Southern Campus of the University of Namibia, took part in a three-month study exchange at the University of Primorska from March to May 2025 as part of the Erasmus+ programme.
During their stay in Slovenia, they encountered different teaching methods based on collaboration, open discussion, and hands-on classroom experiences. In their free time, they explored historical towns, enjoyed seaside views, and even visited Italy. Although the language posed a challenge, they learned to adapt and appreciate cultural differences. This was their first experience travelling outside Namibia.
Both students returned home more confident, full of new teaching ideas and eager to share their experiences with others. Their exchange followed the visit of Dr Annaly Strauss and Dr Tertisia Nghipondoka, who participated in the UP PEF International Week 2024.
