22nd International Scientific and Professional Conference: Diversity and Competences in Society 5.0: Challenges and Opportunities in Education

The University of Primorska, Faculty of Education, in cooperation with the Slovenian Educational Research Association and the University of Kragujevac, Faculty of Education in Užice (Serbia), will organize the 22nd International Scientific and Professional Conference entitled: Diversity and Competences in Society 5.0: Challenges and Opportunities in Education. 

We kindly invite the submission of scientific and professional papers that address, from theoretical, empirical, or applied perspectives, thematic areas related to the role of pedagogy and didactics in Society 5.0, including:

  • Designing diverse, inclusive, and/or digitally supported learning environments that promote collaborative, experiential, and interdisciplinary learning;
  • Innovative didactic approaches contributing to the development of future-oriented competencies;
  • Development of professional competencies of educational staff (from early childhood education to adult education) for teaching and learning in Society 5.0;
  • Examples of good practice highlighting diversity as a factor of quality in contemporary teaching and learning.

Researchers, practitioners, and professionals involved in educational research and practice at any level of education and in any disciplinary field are warmly invited to participate. We look forward to receiving your research findings, in-depth theoretical discussions, and innovative examples of good practice contributing to the creation of an inclusive, digitally supported, and socially responsible educational environment.

Submission of Abstracts

Deadline for abstract submission: 24 March 2026.
Registration and abstract submission will be carried out via an online form available at: https://forms.office.com/e/JJyxvEeGQ1 (select English as the form language).

Submission of Full Papers
Deadline for full paper submission: 4 May 2026.
Each author may submit a maximum of two papers as author or co-author.
Only linguistically appropriate papers prepared in accordance with the Author Guidelines will be included in the peer-review process.

Registration fee:

• Participants with a paper: 100 EUR
• Participants without a paper: 70 EUR
• Students of UP PEF: free of charge
• In the case of multiple authors of one paper: 50 EUR per author

The registration fee includes participation in the conference, the possibility of publication in a scientific or professional monograph, and refreshments during breaks (coffee and lunch).

The official languages of the conference will be Slovenian and English. A special session will be organized for papers presented in English, with the possibility of online participation.

Participants will receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the conference.
