New master study programme Educational mathematics

On November 21, 2024, the Slovenian Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education - NAKVIS granted accreditation to the Master study programme Educational Mathematics, which will be implemented by the UP Faculty of Education.

The Master study programme Educational Mathematics takes into account new knowledge in the field of pedagogical, psychological, special didactic, mathematical, natural and social sciences with emphasis on an interdisciplinary approach, quality of learning and teaching, use of information technologies and the digital environment. The new study programme includes a mandatory international experience in the frame of the Mobility window at one of the partner universities - members of the European university TransformforEurope (T4EU) or as internationalization at home.

A graduate who, upon successful completion, obtains the professional title “magister/magistrica profesor/profesorica matematike«, acquires appropriate professional knowledge of Mathematics and Mathematics didactics for teaching Mathematics. In addition, with included pedagogical, psychological, general didactic content and practical experience, the graduate is qualified for work and organization, planning and implementation of work in the classroom.
