Vision of the Centre for Arts UP PEF 

The Centre for Arts of the University of Primorska, Faculty of Education will, in accordance with the mission and vision of UP PEF, promote artistic activities and place them in the academic space as a specific, complementary and interdisciplinary field of creativity, education and research. Together with students, university teachers and staff, Centre will continue to strive to create an environment that is conducive to artistic production, as well as to the exploration of artistic languages and pedagogical engagement in the broader field of art, including visual and performing arts, film, music, literature, and other genres of aesthetic production. It will also ensure that artistic approaches are more widely integrated into pedagogy, in line with the noble conception of pedagogy as ars paedagogica, the art of learning and teaching. In accordance with the mission and vision of the faculty, Centre will promote the freedom and autonomy of artistic creation, without forgetting to nurture cultural awareness in the region of Coastal Cracow and beyond, and to preserve the cultural and artistic heritage as an important component of the identity of the individual and the nation.
